Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Receives the Credentials of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, the credentials of the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Ms. Samar Abdulrahman Hussein Awadallah, in Baghdad.

Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Palestinian Ambassador, wishing her success in the performance of her diplomatic duties, and reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to enhancing the fraternal and historic relations with the State of Palestine, as well as its support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in various regional and international forums.

For her part, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Palestinian leadership to the Iraqi government, expressing her appreciation for Iraq’s steadfast and supportive positions toward the Palestinian cause, and affirming her determination to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
