FM Assumes Duties of Administering the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities and Reaffirms Commitment to Advancing Vital Projects

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, assumed on Thursday, 21 May 2026, the duties of administering the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities in an acting capacity, in order to ensure the continuity of the Ministry’s work and the follow-up of key projects and service-related portfolios.

Upon assuming his duties, H.E. the Minister chaired an expanded meeting attended by deputies, advisors, and general directors, during which the progress of ongoing projects was reviewed, and the Ministry’s plans and priorities for the upcoming phase were discussed.

H.E. the Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation, coordination, and team spirit, in a way that contributes to setting priorities and addressing challenges effectively, in line with the requirements of the current stage and the circumstances facing Iraq and the region.
