Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Holds a Phone Call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, held a telephone conversation on Friday, 6 February 2026, with H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait.

During the call, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein extended his congratulations to H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the occasion of assuming his duties as Minister of Foreign Affairs, wishing him success in carrying out his new responsibilities.

The two sides also stressed the importance of developing and enhancing bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the State of Kuwait in a manner that serves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples, and underscored the need to continue coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest.

They agreed on the importance of holding a meeting in the near future to help advance prospects for joint cooperation to broader levels.
