The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its appreciation and warm welcome of the decision by the friendly Kingdom of Spain to revise and ease its travel advisory for Iraq, in line with the positions of other European countries. This step is based on the Spanish government’s commendation of the noticeable improvement in the security situation and the increased stability witnessed across Iraqi cities and provinces.

The Ministry highly values this constructive step from the Kingdom of Spain, which reflects the increasing of international confidence in Iraq’s security environment. It also supports the Iraqi government’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and open wider avenues for economic, cultural, and tourism cooperation with friendly countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that this development underscores the strength and depth of bilateral relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Spain, as well as with European countries in general. It also serves as a motivation to enhance joint cooperation in a way that serves the interests of both peoples and contributes to strengthening Iraq’s presence and role at the regional and international levels.
